Kent Scholla
Founder and President
With an extensive background of Fortune 50 experience in general management, marketing strategy, and advertising, Kent
has a successful record for building businesses within highly competitive markets. Prior to founding Bumblefish, Kent was
Executive Director at America Online, overseeing strategy, sales and product development in AOL Autos, Member Services
Strategy, Mapquest and AOL Finance groups. Previously, Kent worked in New York for Citigroup as  Vice President in their
e-commece and online banking group and at American Express. Before earning his MBA, Kent founded Los Angeles-
based advertising agency, KKA, and worked as Creative Director at Asatsu/BBDO launching campaigns for notable clients
such as Apple, Asahi Breweries, Delta Airlines, Mitsubishi Motors, Pioneer Electronics, JVC, and Sony.

Paul Scholla
Chief Financial Officer
Paul is a seasoned management executive with over 35 years of experience in the manufacturing and food service
industries. He was employed as an internal auditor by Marriott Corporation, which exposed him to all aspects of Marriott’s
hotel, restaurant and food service operations and later received his MBA and CPA. Paul rose up through the ranks and later
served as CFO of Marriott’s In-Flite Services Division in Latin America (acquired by Sodexho Alliance in 1998). Before
joining Bumblefish, Paul worked for 20 years for Baker Hughes Incorporated where he was Manager of International
Accounting, Corporate Accountant, and for 12 years as the CEO of Baker Hughes subsidiaries in Mexico. Paul is fluent in
Spanish.

Kim Young-Ja Scholla
Chief Concept Officer/General Manager
Kim is a seasoned restaurant and food services manager with over 30 years of experience. Kim is our majority
shareholder and manages all front house operations for Bumblefish, including hiring, training, supply management,
vendor relations and menu development. Prior to joining Bumblefish, Kim co-managed the sushi/prepared foods
department at one of Kansas City's largest grocery stores and has helped manage numerous restaurants in Southern
California. Additionally, she is a minority investor in two full-service Japanese restaurants in Missouri. Kim is fluent in
Korean.

John Stoj
Vice President, Business Development & Chief of Staff
John was formerly a Director with TAMCO focusing on RMBS portfolio investments. Previously, he was a Vice President  at
STCM, focusing on the purchase of various structured products. Prior to joining STCM,
John worked at ING Investment
Management where he co-managed their home-equity and manufactured housing asset-backed portfolios as well as
several other total return mandates. Before ING, J
ohn was an ABS banker at Banc One Capital Markets from 1998-2002.
His previous experience included positions as a senior consultant in KPMG’s Structured Finance Group and as a member
of Nomura Securities International’s mortgage trading desk. J
ohn received his BBA from the University of Notre Dame and
MBA from the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School.

James Dickey
Vice President, Operations
James is an restaurant industry veteran with nearly 20 years of experience managing all aspects of Japanese full-service
restaurants. Before joining Bumblefish, James was Managing Director and President of California Beach Restaurant
Group where he had operational responsibilities of restaurants in Hawaii and California. Previously, James worked for J.
W. Marriott and Prince Hotel Group in Los Angeles, Honolulu and Tokyo where he was Hotel Assistant General Manager.
James has a Bachelors of Arts in East Asian Language and Cultures with a minor in Business Administration. He earned
a Monbusho Scholarship from the Japan Ministry of Education and studied Japanese language extensively at Nagoya
University. James is fluent in Japanese.
